Physiotherapy A Physiotherapist uses a combination of techniques to treat patients suffering from physical ailments. These techniques include manual techniques such as mobilization and massage; treatment machines such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, laser and mechanical traction; other techniques such as acupuncture, therapeutic taping, supportive devices and exercise programs. Ailments treated by physiotherapy include accidents, work related injuries, poor postures, repetitive strain injuries, sports injuries, degenerative disc diseases, fractures, etc. |
Chiropractic Care A Chiropractor uses manual techniques to treat patients suffering from ailments of the spine and the nervous system. In addition to adjusting the spine and other joints of the body, a chiropractor also recommends therapeutic exercises and provides nutritional as well as dietary counseling. Ailments treated by chiropractic care include accidents, stress, work related injuries, poor posture, repetitive strains, sport strains, and misalignment such as scoliosis. |
Massage Therapy A Massage Therapist uses pure manual techniques to treat patients suffering from ailments of the muscles and tendons. Massage therapy is highly effective to treat tired muscles as well as injured tissues of the body. Massage therapy is also very effective to treat stress related muscle aches and injury related swollen areas. |
Tuina & Acupuncture Tuina is the Chinese term of massage and manual therapy combined. A Tuina and Acupuncturist practises manual Chinese medicine treatment techniques including shiatsu, reflexology, acupuncture and moxibustion (cupping), and kwasha. A Tuina and Acupunturist also gives dietary recommendation to treat ailments. Ailments treated by Tuina and Acupuncturist include repetitive strain injuries, overall tiredness, symptoms caused by hormonal imbalance, overweight, weakness of the immune system, circulatory system and metabolism, etc. |
